The cast of Tupac‘s upcoming biopic, All Eyez On Me, is growing. Just three days after it was announced that The Walking Dead‘s Danai Gurira would play Tupac’s mother in the Benny Boom-directed movie, Deadline reports that The Wire alum, Jamie Hector will star as the late rapper’s stepfather, Mutulu Shakur.

Mutulu Shakur was a nationalist widely known for his placement on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list as a result of his four years on the run. Shakur, who had a daughter with the rapper’s mother, was convicted for his participation in robberies, homicides, and a 1979 prison escape in 1988. He is currently serving a 60-year sentence.

As Mutulu Shakur, Hector, who played Marlo Stanfield in the classic HBO series, will join a star-studded roster as Demetrius Shipp Jr. leads as Pac and Kat Graham stars as the rapper’s close friend, Jada Pinkett Smith. Jamal Woolard, who played Biggie Smalls in Notorious in 2009, will reprise his role as the famed New York MC in the film. Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, and the Washington Redskins’ Desean Jackson will serve as producers on the movie.

According to Variety, All Eyez On Me, which began production in late 2015, will chronicle Tupac’s “life and legacy including his rise to superstardom as a hip-hop artist and actor.” Shakur died in 1996.
